Four centuries ago, the Sundering shattered the Veil between worlds, unleashing Riftstorms, strange new lands, and horrors never meant to walk among mortals. The Empire that once united the realms fell in days, and magic itself became unstable, granting immense power, but at the risk of madness, mutation, or death.

Now, in the year 412 A.S., Eryndor is a land shaped by ancient grudges and fragile alliances. The Five Realms have grown into distinct powers, each with its ambitions, secrets, and dangers. From the holy crusades of Veyra, to the unyielding forges of Durnholde, to the shadowed politics of the Sylvari Enclave, the savage independence of the Wild Reaches, and the lawless chaos of the Veilscar, the world teeters on the brink of another great conflict.

In this living, breathing world, your story is yours to shape. Will you rise as a hero of the people, a cunning schemer in the courts, a mercenary seeking coin, or a wielder of dangerous, Veil-touched magic? Will you join the cause of your homeland, or carve your legend in defiance of kings and gods alike?
